Please plan to join us on Sunday afternoon, February 21, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the fellowship building for our annual Chili Cook-Off!  This will take the place of our Second Sunday Fellowship Meal in February.  Bring a batch of your favorite chili or corn bread to share – desserts are welcome, too!  This event is ALWAYS fun!  Come out and enjoy some GREAT food!

There will be a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, February 21, 2010 immediately following worship.  The two purposes of this meeting are to receive the 2010 Budget, and to elect our corporate officers for 2010.

New Plants Needed!  The plants in our sanctuary are becoming frail and need to be replaced.  However, there is no money budgeted for this expense.  If you would like to donate toward the purchase of new plants for the sanctuary, please make your check payable to Cornerstone Presbyterian Church and earmark it “plants.”  Sharee Hoyt hopes to purchase some nice silk plants to beautify our sanctuary.

Lenten Bible Study – Lent begins on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, and we would like to offer a Lenten Bible Study which will be similar to the Advent Bible Study we had this past December.  If you would be interested in leading one of the Bible Study groups, please plan to attend a training session on Sunday morning, February 7, 2010 during the Sunday School hour (9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.).  There is no obligation – just come and check out the possibilities.  The Lenten Bible Studies will meet in various locations and at assorted times.  Everyone will have the opportunity to sign up for the Study of their choice.  If you took part in the Advent Bible Study, you already know what a blessing it can be!  Take a chance, stretch yourself, and accept the challenge – come to the small group leadership training session on February 7 – 9:45 a.m.  Light refreshments will be served.  Come and check it out!!

OFFERING ENVELOPES FOR 2010 are available on the table in the back of the sanctuary.  PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME OF YOU HAVE A NEW ENVELOPE NUMBER!!  We have cut back on the number of envelopes we order, so some had to be reassigned.  Please be sure you begin using your new number this month.
