HANGING OF THE GREENS – Sunday, November 23, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. – Mark your calendars now for this special event in the life of our church! It’s always an enjoyable afternoon when we gather to prepare our church for the Advent and Christmas season! We’ll be decorating our Chrismon tree, hanging garlands, putting the ceramic angels along the back rail, placing candles, and sprucing up the place in order to warmly welcome any visitors who might come our way during this important season of the church year! When we finish the decorating, our GOBs will treat us to a delicious meal! You won’t want to miss this!! If you have any questions, please see Fran Brown or Connie Moss.
THE SINGING SAINTS will present their annual Christmas Concert on Sunday afternoon, November 30, 2008 at Forest Hill United Methodist Church (265 Union Street North, Concord) It will be at 3:00pm in their main sanctuary, followed by refreshments in the Fellowship Center. Please plan to come out and hear this varied group share their tremendous talents with us as they present, “Love Transcending.” Our own Margie Underwood is a member of this group!!
HAVE YOU FILLED A SHOE BOX YET FOR OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD? Why not pick one up TODAY and bring it back with you when you come for the Hanging of the Greens?? (That is the deadline for returning the shoe boxes.) Please take this opportunity to help out a needy child this Christmas!! Next Sunday (11/23) is the deadline for bringing in an Operation Christmas Child shoe box!! Don’t forget to pick up one today and fill it this week!!
