Jessica Patchett

Pastor

Jessica Patchett loves life and the God who opens her eyes to new life every day. She enjoys being outside, talking with people, reading, running and practicing yoga.

Spiritual growth is one of Jessica's top priorities. She believes that as a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit grounds her in the life of God, who made the world and who acts with radical compassion and salvation in the world.

Jessica is excited to see Cornerstone becoming a strong community of disciples who are eager to know God, grow spiritually, and serve one another and our neighbors.

If you're wondering if church is the place for you, call Jessica. She would love to hear about your questions and interests!

Andy Austin

Outreach

Andy and his family have been attending Cornerstone for almost 3 years and have been members for 2 of those years. Cornerstone has a special meaning to them because their family was originally from Concord but moved away to Colorado and came back to NC settling in Statesville. Andy's wife grew up in Concord and they decided to start their own family in Concord. As they were looking for a church home they discovered Cornerstone (formerly 2nd Presbyterian) was the church Andy's grandparents and father attended back in the 1950's. In his role as the Outreach Leader, Andy hopes to connect with persons and families on a personal and spiritual level; he wants Cornerstone to become a special place for them too. Please contact Andy with ideas and passions that you have; whether it is activities, community work, classes, whatever it is! Help Cornerstone reach out and make lasting relationships within the community and grow in faith and Christ together.

Ed Callahan

Life Groups and Discipleship

In Ed's professional career as a Real Estate Management Executive it is very important to make lasting business relationships. In his role at Cornerstone it is very important to make sure lasting relationships and friends are being formed within the Church Family. By participating in Life Groups we build those close relationships with one another. We do this as we all build closer relationships in our walk with Christ through our meetings and studies in smaller groups. Seeing this happen is extremely rewarding and Ed thanks God for placing this opportunity before him.

Mary Callahan

As a Computer Systems Analyst it is crucial to work closely with many business partners to effectively execute well thought out project plans to be successful. In Mary's role at Cornerstone, she has similar opportunities to support the Pastor as she directs the Staff and Church in a new vibrant direction. Recognizing successes and recommending changes in direction is sometimes challenging, but always rewarding. Mary's additional role as Clerk of Session has allowed her to enhance Cornerstones relationship with the Presbytery. It is with pride and prayerful thanks to God that Mary serves Cornerstone's Church family.
